The Delaware Fiscal Sponsorship Project

Do you want to make a difference in your community? The Delaware Fiscal Sponsorship Project supports you in driving your mission forward without having to spend a significant amount of time on administrative work or keeping up with accounting.

If you are looking to engage in social good efforts for community, economic opportunity, and/or social change then you’ve come to the right place!

This project provides:

• Basic Accounting and Finance: Tracking, financial reports, and other accounting services.
• Donation management: Donation management system, annual recognition and receipts.
• HR and Payroll: Payroll, contractor payments, reimbursements.
• Tax & Regulatory Filings: Annual 990s, Delaware franchise fees.
• Access to 501(c)(3) and/or 501(c)(4) status: If accepted you can receive the benefits of being a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofit by being fiscally sponsored through us or partners instead of having to create your own.
• Insurance: Basic general liability. We may need to charge extra for any direct services, work with people under 18, etc. 
• Coaching: Access to Network Delaware’s coaching and leadership development programs.

Fee

Our goal is to ensure you can focus most of your time on your mission, so we keep our administration fees small. You also do not need to keep a minimum balance to get started or continue. Our fee is 5% of your annual revenue which covers the above services.

Key Qualities of a Sponsored Entity

Below are the attributes we look for in our fiscally sponsored projects:

• Committed to actively changing a specific issue or cause.
• Deeply focused on building new and inclusive leadership and team members, in particular, they center the leadership of those most impacted.
• Dedication to sharing resources/best practices and partnering with other social change groups.
• Nonprofit organizations, community projects, and issue campaigns are all welcome to apply for a Fiscal Sponsorship. You do not have to be an established nonprofit or business to apply, but you can be.
